Important Online Security Notice
September 07, 2006
There was a security breach in the online forums on the National Catholic AIDS Network website which resulted in someone being able to send an email which appeared to come from moderator@ncan.org and asked you to send a contribution to davthom50 @yahoo.com. This person had no authorization to send out this email. In discussions with our webmaster, NCAN has taken steps to keep this from happening again.
To keep up-to-date with the Network, I encourage that you subscribe to Online Connections which is sent through Constant Contact which incorporates the latest security to ensure your privacy.
I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and with Yahoo against davthom50 @yahoo.com.
I apologize for this issue and assure you that I am doing all that I can to ensure the security of your information.
If you ever receive and email with the extension @ncan.org that you feel is suspicious, please forward a copy to abuse@ncan.org.
Peace,
Dan Lunney, Executive Director
National Catholic AIDS Network
