Bilingual HIV/AIDS Train the Trainer

The Secretariat of Hispanic Affairs of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the National Catholic AIDS Network held two bilingual HIV/AIDS “Train the Trainer”. The training used Many Threads, One Weave, which was produced by Catholic Charities USA and the Network.

The training is meant for bilingual Catholic leaders throughout the country who are connected to their (arch) diocese, parish, religious community, college and/or a Catholic organization.

Parish HIV/AIDS Training

In collaboration with Catholic Charities USA, the Network has developed a training program to assist parishes in establishing and enhancing their HIV/AIDS outreach and education efforts. The Parish Project training program includes Many Threads, One Weave, the first-ever complete resource program for Catholic Parishes serving those impacted by HIV/AIDS. Many Threads, One Weave reflects the input and combined expertise of the leading HIV/AIDS care providers in the Catholic Church and contains up-to-date medical, social, psychological and spiritual information on the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
