Ewaoluwa Ogundana is a senior at Trinity Washington University studying political science, with a minor in communications. She will be graduating this December and plans to continue pursuing higher education in the area of public policy.
As the communications intern, Ms. Ogundana works to promote and expand NCAN’s policy communications and advocacy work through blog posts, newsletter articles, and social media. She also monitors media coverage of NCAN and collaborates with NCAN members to help share stories about their work and their students.
Prior to joining NCAN, Ms. Ogundana was a fellow for the Maryland state government and worked on a policy proposal to expand Maryland’s K-12 education policies. Ms. Ogundana and her group researched ways state departments could help unaccompanied homeless youth and foster care youth increase their high school graduation rates. In her future career, Ms. Ogundana plans to continue advocating for education policies to reduce the systematic disparities in public school systems.
