For the second consecutive year, the percentage of Colorado students who have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has declined -- dropping 5.6% during the 2020-21 school year. Students across the nation have had to overcome the many obstacles brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the decreasing number of Colorado students filling out the FAFSA is raising concerns -- especially since the decline disproportionately impacts students from low-income backgrounds and students of color who traditionally don’t attend college at a high rate.

How can we come together to increase the FAFSA completion rates across student populations in Colorado? Join us for a discussion on Colorado’s plan to address the declining FAFSA completion rates and ways in which we can all support postsecondary attainment for this year’s graduating seniors.
