Career Success for College Students

Career Success for College Students

Over the last decade, a number of NCAN member organizations have expanded their mission to include helping the students they serve launch their careers after earning a degree or credential. NCAN and our members view this work as the "next frontier" for our field.

We’ve gathered best practices to help more college attainment nonprofits with limited resources implement or enhance career advising for college students.

We’ll continue to add fresh content and resources to this page.

Students who are the first in their families to graduate from college have always faced additional challenges in securing a good first job. These challenges became even more apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic.

But we know there are steps organizations can take to help all students successfully launch their careers. Let’s get to work!

NCAN is grateful to the Scheidel Foundation for its generous support of this initiative.
