The National College Attainment Network (NCAN) recently issued updated FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, guidance for mixed-status families for leaders and practitioners to continue to support this population of students during an increasingly complex financial aid and admissions season.

Join Mayra Valle, a former student from a mixed-status family turned college advisor and curriculum expert for a timely session on this topic. Valle will share a framework for building trust and safety with families, highlighting recent policy shifts impacting mixed-status families, and a look at what to expect in the financial aid and verification process. Attendees will also learn how to create networks of support that help every student and family navigate admissions with confidence.
