Register here! Join the National College Attainment Network (NCAN) for this year’s Spring Institute and earn your AI in College Access Certificate! NCAN members play a critical role in helping students prepare for, apply to, and succeed in college. As generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly has the potential to influence every part of the process, there is a clear need for shared understanding, practical fluency, and strategic alignment across its constituents. Join this four-part series to build coherence, confidence, and shared language around generative AI use for your work. Sessions will include live demonstrations, interactive activities, guided discussions, and opportunities to reflect on how generative AI intersects with your specific role. Focus in on responsible use, alignment with your organizational values, and maintaining rigor in research and policy work. Earn your NCAN AI in College Access Certificate by attending all four events and completing the post-course survey. While you are welcome to join only select sessions, please note the sessions are structured as a progressive series, with each session building on prior learning. Each session is 90 minutes. - Session 1 - Generative AI Foundations and Strategy: Build shared understanding of generative AI capabilities, limitations, and relevance to the field of college attainment
- Session 2 - Responsible and Ethical AI Use: Explore bias, trustworthiness, academic integrity, and governance considerations
- Session 3 - Prompting, NotebookLM, and GPTs/GEMs: Participate in hands-on exploration of prompting strategies and advanced tools
- Session 4 - Applied AI for Knowledge Work: Use generative AI to augment work and help participants use AI effectively
Cost: Free for members, $125 for non-members (payment is non-refundable). Join NCAN today! Register here!
