NCAN has received a $100,000 grant from the Travelers Foundation, the charitable arm of Travelers. The grant will support aspects of NCAN’s 2019-2022 strategic plan, including improved resources and training for member organizations as they work to achieve better postsecondary results for students from low-income backgrounds and students of color.
“Through its investments in NCAN, Travelers’ commitment to postsecondary equity reaches across the country,” NCAN’s Executive Director Kim Cook said. “Travelers has demonstrated a remarkable and long-term dedication to academic and career success for underrepresented students. The company recognizes that education is critical not only for individual success, but also for building a skilled workforce.”
Travelers is ensuring opportunity by contributing to efforts that create strong, vibrant communities and offer pathways to success. Through corporate funding and the Travelers Foundation, Travelers targets its giving to three key outcomes: academic & career success, thriving neighborhoods, and culturally enriched communities.
