Roadtrip Nation, they of the iconic green RV crisscrossing the nation while dispensing college and career readiness advice through well-made multimedia, wants to show students their possible dreams
and paths through a new campaign. The aptly named Possible Dreams, Possible Paths microsite offers “stories and resources to help explore your dreams – and the paths
you can take to get there.”
At the new site, high school students can hear their peers talk about what’s shaping their dreams, their goals, and their paths – and start exploring paths to make their own dreams possible.
Centered around candid video interviews with students – covering topics like mental health, plans beyond high school, social issues, family and responsibilities, and more – this site aims to show high school students that no matter what they may be experiencing
or questioning after the events of the past year, they’re not alone.
But this site also goes beyond reassurance – it aims to connect students with the education paths that will make their dreams and visions for their lives possible. Through resources and tools that help them find the support they need to take steps beyond
high school, students will start to see how they can move forward and take their learnings from last year into the future.
At Possible Dreams, Possible Paths, students can take advantage of:
Student stories: Watch videos of students sharing what they’re going through and what’s motivating them.
Useful resources and plans: Explore resources from organizations that want to help students realize their goals.
Sharing their own story and making their voice heard: Tell Roadtrip Nation about future plans and dreams and read responses from other students.
Through this site, students will learn that, despite the setbacks of the past year, there are still plenty of accessible pathways they can take to get to their goals and dreams, and there’s a path out there that’s right for them. This is just the first
step.
NCAN members know the pandemic didn’t affect everyone equally. Going forward, it will be crucial for everyone in a student-supporting role to help rebuild social equity and financial security for young people. That’s why Roadtrip Nation views this new
endeavor as a critical touchpoint: This is our chance to show high school students, and high school students from low-income backgrounds, specifically, that they’re not alone in this moment, and there are resources available to help them continue
building the future they dream of.
