NCAN Welcomes 2 New Staff Members

Just in time for the new school year, Team NCAN is excited to welcome two new members: Johanne Belzor and Jade McCree.

Both of these new hires will help increase NCAN's capacity to serve our members across the country, including at next month's national conference, "Rebuilding for Postsecondary Equity."

Johanne Belzor – Administrative Coordinator

As NCAN’s administrative coordinator, Johanne Belzor supports the office through administration, human resources, finance, and event support.

Johanne graduated from University of Maryland University College (UMUC) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. During her college years, she began her professional career with the U.S. Department of Justice as an office assistant. She brings more than 10 years of experience to the table with expertise in asset management and procurement.

Prior to NCAN, Ms. Belzor worked as an administrative assistant with the American Psychological Association (APA), a nonprofit organization, where she performed similar duties. Since then, Johanne has developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit world.

Jade McCree – Graduate Fellow, Member Engagement & Communication

As a graduate fellow, Jade McCree works closely with the member services team to support NCAN members.

Ms. McCree is a Birmingham, Alabama, native who graduated from Fisk University with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2019. She currently works as a college mentor for Oasis College Connection, a college access program in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, she supports students as they navigate the college-going process by assisting them in completing the FAFSA, college applications, and scholarship exploration.

She is also a graduate student at Tennessee State University pursuing a Master in Public Administration and will complete her degree in November 2021. Ms. McCree dreams of making positive changes to the justice system in hopes of cultivating it into a more equitable system for all. She has a passion for working with minority students and aspires to diversify higher education.
