NCAN is excited to welcome our new program associate, Caroline Doglio (She/Her/Hers)! Caroline will assist NCAN with strengthening state-level policies and practices that increase districts’ and schools’ focus on college and career readiness
and improve students’ postsecondary outcomes.
As a recent graduate, Caroline is elated to join NCAN! From Long Island, New York Caroline’s interest in education advocacy work began as a result of attending an extremely segregated high
school. This passion only grew when she began to attend Cornell University as a first-generation and low-income student.
At Cornell, she studied Development Sociology with a concentration in Policy Analysis. Upon her arrival on campus,
she quickly noticed a difference among her and her peers. Inspired to join the First-Generation Student Union, her enthusiasm surrounding education equity only grew. This interest is what inspired her to join NCAN’s team.
At NCAN, Caroline
hopes to learn more about education equity work with aspirations to apply that knowledge throughout her career. Currently, her career goals are focused on alleviating some of the racial disparities within higher education and hopes to do so with NCAN
while gaining practical professional skills.
During her free-time, Caroline enjoys knitting sweaters, reading romance novels, and listening to One Direction.
Caroline's first day with NCAN was on Monday, July 18. We're
excited to welcome her to the team.
