The National College Attainment Network (NCAN) talks about the National Student Clearinghouse’s (NSC) StudentTracker service quite a bit.
That’s because the platform, for a fee, allows K-12 districts and schools, community-based organizations, and college access programs to understand better their students’ postsecondary outcomes.
Through our partnership with
NSC, NCAN continues to provide technical assistance to NCAN members and the field about how to use StudentTracker effectively. We also, for the first time, received insight about how many NCAN members are using StudentTracker.
Of nearly 500 NCAN members, 250 (51%) have a StudentTracker subscription, according to the NSC. This coverage is higher than both public high schools (48%) and public charter high schools (41%), as noted by the most recent High School Benchmarks report.
The NSC’s new, improved StudentTracker 3.0 should begin rolling out in 2024. It will add new features and improve on aspects of the platform that have previously given NCAN members
trouble. In the meantime, NCAN will be rolling out a set of resources related to the StudentTracker in January that will complement the NSC’s own set of training materials.
