Matthew Odom

Communications Manager

As the National College Attainment Network's (NCAN’s) Communications Manager, Matthew Odom curates and edits the content of NCAN’s main communication channels, uses data to recommend improvements to communication strategies, provides marketing support, and contributes to strategic communication planning.

Prior to joining NCAN, Odom held a variety of positions, including Communications Coordinator at the National Volunteer Fire Council, a Community Manager with a tech start-up in Munich, Germany, and an English Teaching Assistant in Brescia, Italy.

Odom holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from George Mason University and a Master's of Arts in Nongovernmental Organization Management from the Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Washington, DC, and in his free time enjoys traveling, reading, and leading an active lifestyle.
