E-Learning Courses, Badges, and Rates

 

Certificates and Badges

A certificate of completion is provided after each course is successfully completed. Learners can download, save, and print each certificate for documentation.

Learners can earn badge certificates for completing combinations of courses. Badges are available for Admissions Advising, Financial Aid Advising, Inclusive Student Advising, and Student Outcomes. These professional badges can help build your resume and document your mastery of college attainment advising skills. Please refer to the chart below to understand which courses must be completed to earn each badge.

A special National College Attainment Network (NCAN) NCAN Certified Advisor badge is available for those demonstrating mastery in access advising. To earn the NCAN Certified Advisor badge certificate, participants must complete the following courses:

  • Admissions Advising: Five courses
  • Career Advising: One course
  • Family Engagement: One course
  • Financial Aid Advising: Six courses
  • Inclusive Student Advising: Five courses
  • Increasing Persistence and Completion Rates: Two courses
  • Developing Cultural Competence: One course

Instructions to Register for Courses and Badges

Each user must have their own NCAN account and register for courses individually while logged in. Members should login to register for courses for free. Non-members can create a “GUEST” account for free to register and submit payment for courses.

Please DO NOT register colleagues for courses, as access to the courses will only be available to the account holder. Member organizations can contact Senior Manager, Retention and Database Management Tong Lee at leet@ncan.org about adding new staff to their organization's account.

Once you complete the order process for interested courses, check your inbox for a confirmation email. NCAN recommends you bookmark the link to the e-learning system so it is readily available if you need to return to the system to complete a course(s).
