Speakers Autumn BoydDr. Autumn Boyd has a diverse set of experiences in the collegiate, charter, and traditional school district settings. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Postsecondary Outcomes in the Aldine Independent School District, and, in this role, she collaborates with several departments to maximize outcomes in college and career readiness preparation. In the first year of her tenure, the district experienced its first increase in its college, career, and military readiness accountability rating and college enrollment since 2018 and 2015, respectively. In her past roles, she has built college and career readiness programs, and embedded college and career curriculum into the classroom setting. As an advocate of pursuing one’s passion, Autumn has been fortunate to pursue a career that pairs her strengths and passions to create life-changing experiences for students. Dr. Boyd holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, a Master's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, and a Doctorate from Vanderbilt University.
Anthony CookAnthony Cook, the Coordinator of College & Career Services for the School District of Osceola County, whose goal is to see that ALL students readily identify their passions/interests, identify a career that aligns with said passions/interests, and find a pathway that will allow them to pursue their identified career. Through the work done in Osceola County, has moved from 61 out 67 districts in post-secondary attainment to 19th and saw FAFSA completion rates improve from 45% to 61% in the 2021-2022 school cycle. He is an educator, motivator, systems changer, and proud father of 3. He was most recently selected as an NCAN To & Through partner, NCAN Fellow, KIPP Institute participant, Innovator of the Year for the state of Florida, and recognized as one of Osceola County’s influential & impactful leaders by the local NAACP chapter. In his free time, you may find him visiting new restaurants in Central Florida, watching a new move or show, exercising, or listening to podcasts. Kimberly HanauerKimberly has been working at the cross-section of K-12 and postsecondary education for 20 years. First at Duke University, then a national charter, and finally leading this work from DC Public Schools. Kimberly works with a broad set of districts and organizations across the country to empower leaders to take a data driven approach to support students to postsecondary success. She focuses on empowering leaders with the data to proactively enable every student to achieve their post-secondary potential. Candy MarshallCandy Marshall joined the TheDream.US after serving eight years as a leader at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Candy led the expansion of the foundation and then joined the Global Health Programs where she led the implementation of a comprehensive plan to implement and improve the effectiveness of the Foundation’s 25+ global programs with over 500 people and a $3.0B annual budget. Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Candy was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of WRQ, Inc. – a northwest technology firm. Marshall is a philanthropic leader in the Pacific Northwest. She is immediate Past-Chair of the Seattle Children’s Hospital and Research Foundation Board of Trustees and serves as an advisor on the Advisory Committee for the YUSA Strategic Initiatives Fund. She has previously served on a number of other nonprofit boards including the Washington Global Health Alliance, the Seattle Arts and Sciences Academy, the YMCA of Greater Seattle, and Seattle City Club. Marshall earned a law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law, with distinction, Order of the Coif, and a bachelor’s degree in public administration. Ana MoyaAna is a first-generation college student and currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology from Dominican University. She joined the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) as an ISACorps member for the Triton Community College District, where she found her passion for working with first-generation college students and Spanish-speaking parents. Before joining the Professional Development staff at ISAC, Ana served as an ISACorps Regional Coordinator for the South and West suburbs. She currently resides in the west suburbs of Chicago and enjoys the short commute to coffee shops on the weekend, and dog parks for morning walks with Dakota. |
