Online training to be a better advisor
The National College Attainment Network (NCAN) is excited to provide an e-learning platform. Courses contain a tutorial video, resource links, resource documents (if applicable), a quiz, and the opportunity to complete a feedback survey. Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of courses.
NCAN's e-learning platform Fundamentals for College Access and Success Providers helps practitioners stay informed about the changing landscape of college attainment for students pursuing postsecondary pathways. These online courses provide a toolkit of concrete strategies and resources for counselors and advisors to use when guiding students through one of the most important decisions of their lives. Content reflects evidence-based practices, is vetted by NCAN, and is updated when deemed necessary.
Why incorporate e-learning in to your organization's training process? Courses are:
- Segmented by topic
- Delivered in convenient 30- to 90-minute segments
- Self-paced and asynchronous
- Available year-round and on-demand to anyone with an internet connection
- Designed to incorporate best practices for online learner engagement
Fundamentals for College Access and Success Providers is perfect for new advisors, counselors seeking additional training, and college access and success practitioners wishing to stay up-to-date with the changing landscape of college attainment.
Best of all, the training is cost-effective; all courses are FREE to NCAN members through August 2026 (up to 100 employees per member organization). Non-members pay just $39 to $119 per course depending on course length. Selected courses are free to all. Join NCAN now to access all courses for free.
